To keep our community safe during the Covid-19 Pandemic Pause, we modified our traditional, in-person 5K race/walk to a virtual walk/run that took place over 54 days. The virtual event was a huge success. This year, we’re pleased to announce we’re repeating the virtual event as well as bringing back the in-person race/walk.

left to run or walk 54 miles for the Virtual Hero Walk/Run
When we couldn’t bring the community together for our annual race/walk in 2020, we innovated a virtual walk that allowed participants to join in from anywhere, and walk or run on their own schedule. Participants logged their daily miles over 54 days. We challenged them to complete 54 miles over the period.
The result? They loved the convenience and flexibility. We loved the creative the challenges they set for themselves. Some completed the bulk of the miles in a few days. Some stayed indoors on rainy days, and logged their miles in their living rooms!
